POSITION
We are looking for an experienced, Diploma qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team. This is a Temporary Full-time Maternity leave replacement position, working 38 hours per week, commencing in April 2024 for the remainder of this year. A 3-month probation period will apply.
Our operational hours are from 7am-6pm Monday to Friday. You will work with a team of dedicated educators to provide high quality education and care to children in their early years.
KEY DUTIES
In conjunction with other Educators, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Planning and programming based on the Early Years Learning Framework
- Providing an engaging environment and play-based learning opportunities
- Interacting with and supervising children
- Forging strong, collaborative relationships with families and children
- Working in conjunction with other educators in a team environment
- Meeting the individual learning and developmental needs of children
SELECTION CRITERIA
Please provide a (one page maximum) claim against the criteria below outlining your skills and experience.
- Experience working in the early childhood sector.
- Demonstrated understanding of how children learn and develop, and the importance of play in the early years.
- Demonstrated understanding of current early childhood practices that are based on the National Quality Framework and Standards
- Demonstrated understanding of and examples of how you use the Early Years Learning Framework when programming and planning for children.
- Understanding of developmental milestones for children and how you ensure to meet their individual needs appropriately.

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS
· Diploma in Children’s Services
· Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificate
· Current Child Protection certificate
· Working with Children Check (NSW)
