We are looking for a Customer Service Representatives with a passion for people, cats, and the environment.
ResponsibilitiesWe can teach you about the cats, but you need:
- Customer Service or Retail / Sales experience.
- Welcoming friendly demeanor assisting internal and external customers with sincerity and professionalism.
- Friendly and engaging manner and an eagerness to promote our products and their benefits for the health and wellbeing of cats.
- Able to manage in a demanding and hectic service environment. You must be confident to take charge of the busy Customer Service environment.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing to all levels including the ability to have difficult conversations.
- Exceptional organisational skills to manage workload in a busy environment and the ability to take initiative and have the ability to follow procedures.
- Commitment to the care of cats, people, and environment.
- To be prepared to work hands on with cats as needed.
- To be available to work on Saturdays.
Your customers include:
- Those surrendering cats and kittens
- Potential adopters
- Boarding clients
- Ten Lives volunteers
- Ten Lives foster carers
- Customers in the retail store
- External veterinary clinics and local councils
Duties may include:
- Retail sales and cat adoption
- Answering telephone calls and returning e-mails
- Scheduling appointments and bookings using our designated software (Microsoft Outlook & ShelterBuddy).
- Processing surrenders of cats and kittens
- Processing adoptions of cats and kittens
- Assisting boarding clients and their cats
- Attending to the cats (feeding, cleaning kennels & medicating)
- Arranging foster care for cats and kittens
- Supporting our volunteers, Op Shops and education work
