We are currently seeking a part-time Tenancy Management Officer to join our team in Gladstone. Our Tenancy Management Officer will provide quality support for a range of housing options and provide positive outcomes for tenants as they are supported to transition to self-sustained tenancies.What will a typical day look like?
- Assess the eligibility of applicants seeking accommodation.
- Ensure that tenant intake, allocation and matching are conducted in a non-discriminatory and transparent manner.
- Effectively communicate tenants’ rights and obligations.
- Involve the tenant in key decision-making.
- Maintain a strict compliance regime during each tenancy.
- Make appropriate decisions regarding linkages and wrap-around supports.
- Effectively process the commencement of a tenancy including bond loan administration.
- Monitor and ensure tenancy rent payments and be proactive regarding debts/arrears.
- Complete routine inspections and condition reporting.
- Identify tenant damage, complete invoices to recover costs and/or complete debt forms.
- Conduct periodic reviews of tenants' ongoing eligibility to access housing and conduct rent reviews annually or during a change of circumstances.
- Complete tenant exits, evictions or abandonment of property.
- Full COVID-19 Vaccination
- Real Estate Salesperson Certificate or Certificate IV in Community Services and relevant experience.
- Ability to obtain a Blue Card (working with children check positive notice or exemption)
- Ability to obtain a Yellow Card (disability services positive notice or exemption notice)
