About the opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists in a fast-paced environmental consulting business that provides opportunities for development and growth with the successful candidate being a crucial support for the Tender Department. BIODIVERSITY AUSTRALIA has been trading for more than 20years and is in an exciting phase of its growth cycle within an industry that is flourishing.
Due to rapid growth, this newly created role of Tender Writer/Assistant will be crucial to the continued success of the department.
We are seeking a candidate with current experience to join the bid team on an initial permanent part-time basis (Pro-rata / 4days per week) with the ability to take on an additional day to progress to full-time, contingent on business growth.
This position requires a flexible, quick thinker who loves the thrill-of-the-chase, is an admin wizz, highly organised and can collaborate within the team and work efficiently from home (after probationary period).
In this role, you will demonstrate:
- Highly skilled with MS Word, MS Teams, Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint, Projects
- An ability to accurately edit others written material
- Commercial acumen and confidence in creating quotes
- Research skills and capacity to quickly garner information using a range of sources
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment where you will be juggling priorities and critical deadlines
About you
To be successful in the role of Tender Writer/Assistant, you will have:
- Experience writing tenders
- A love of the thrill-of-the-chase
- Willingness to learn, take on new challenges and do what is required to get the job done
- A strong team mentality as well as the ability to work autonomously
- Excellent written communication skills with high attention to detail, to accurately prepare and review content
- Tertiary qualifications in a related field are highly regarded
- Capability to adapt to change, can work well under pressure and persist toward goals despite obstacles
- Flexibility to manage a fluctuating workload
- Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to learn quickly
- Have a suitable work-from-home-space (opportunities offered after probationary period)
- Ability to interpret complex requests and decipher the required actions
- Strong administration skill-set to support daily tasks within the role
