LocationOur 78-bed service is located in a semi-rural part of Hervey Bay, on 40 beautiful acres offering cool breezes, walking paths and abundant birdlife. The vibrant beach side town has everything you need with alfresco cafes, shops, parklands, picnic areas and local medical services only a short drive away.Highlighting the importance of this roleIn this role you will be responsible for assisting with the provision of activities in accordance with the Positive Wellbeing Model of Care, which enhances the psychological, spiritual, social and physical well-being of residents and clients.Working Perm Part time, you will be joining our fun, family friendly team and be supported by passionate and caring leaders wanting to make a difference in the lives of our residents.
In this role you will:- Assist with development and delivery of leisure and recreational activities;
- Support residents to participate in activities; attend to the personal care needs of clients/residents as required;
- Assist with the regular review and improvement of activities;
- Maintain accurate documentation of activities including evaluation of individual resident programs and plans.
What you can bring to the teamYou are a dynamic and motivated individual with a strong desire to engage with and brighten the lives of our much-loved residents. Whether it be a concert at the facility or a day out on the bus, your main goals are to motivate, inspire and involve the residents. You have excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills. You have a fun-loving nature along with compassion and understanding of individual needs.Ideally you will have previous experience and the qualifications listed below:
- Cert 3 in Aged Care, First Aid certificate and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate will be highly regarded;
- Good communication skills with the elderly and team members;
- Similar work experience in an aged care setting;
- National Police check or the ability to acquire.
