About the Role
As a Terminal Operator, you are responsible for the coordination, planning, efficient assembly and dismantling of trains within the terminal as well as forklift driving.
You will also be responsible for processing freight and operating documentation into a computerised system, undertaking train examinations and brake testing activities whilst above all, adhering to safe-working and operating procedures.
Shift work is applicable.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be a team player who thinks ahead and enjoys a challenge. This is a role that requires a responsible and accountable individual who will efficiently and safely undertake all forklift and shunting activities.
In addition, you will ideally have:
Heavy forklift licence
CV High Risk Licence
Full Driver's licence
General computer proficiency is required
Experience in train inspection, ground shunt and track side safety preferred
Shunt driver qualifications will be highly regarded
Previous experience in logistics, transport or the rail industry is preferred
Note that training is available for the right candidate.
