TQA Consulting is a Testing Consulting firm with a national presence. We are seeking a Test Analyst for an opportunity in Darwin. Candidates must commit to the assignment for a minimum of 8 months.
The Test Analyst will:
- Analysis, design, development, and execution of test cases for system integration, user acceptance and production verification testing
- Preparing, validating, and migrating test data
- Prepare and execute data reconciliation activities and facilitate test case reviews
- Recording of test results and evidence and troubleshooting test failures and errors
- Consult with the business and the teams in supporting the development of user acceptance and production verification testing
- Raising defect records, participating in defect triage, retesting fixes, and identifying regression tests.
- Create and maintain test cases that require traceability
- Raise risks and issues relating to testing and provide test progress reports and status updates
- Identification of regression tests in the area of change
- Develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders
Skills and Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Test Analyst
- Must possess relevant certification such as ISTQB
- Experience in hands-on systems integration testing role, web application, mobility and portals
- Experience in manual testing methods and tools such as Jira
- Ability to analyse and contextualise functional requirements and translate the requirements to test cases
- Ability to develop Test Plans and Reports
- Excellent skills with SQL Server Databases
- Demonstrated accountability for reporting and reconciliation on testing outcomes
- Excellent problem solver and critical thinker
- Have previous experience leading some of the testing activities
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience in a government large-scale/multi-year program environment
- Experience in developing and executing automation testing, possibly using SmartBear Software
- Experience in case management in child protection, youth justice, or similar systems will be well-regarded
- Must have a current National Police Clearance
