About the Role
An opportunity exists for a motivated individual to join our Civil Works Team to contribute to the management of Public Places for the benefit of the community through undertaking a range of duties associated with the cleansing of Council’s public spaces and facilities.
What you will be doing:
- Undertake cleansing of Council’s CBD areas, station sites, carparks, footpaths, public amenities, bus shelters, street and park furniture and any other public areas as required.
- Carry out high pressure water cleaning of infrastructure in accordance with work schedules.
- Removal of minor graffiti and foreign substances from surfaces as directed by supervisor/coordinator.
- Remove and dispose of general litter and hazardous objects.
- Operate small plant and specialised cleaning equipment.
- Report any vandalism and malfunction of building fixtures, fittings and services.
- Use of Council’s electronic works systems.
- Complete work schedules on time and to a high standard.
- Maintain work vehicle and all equipment in a clean and hygienic condition.
- Monitor stock of cleaning and consumable products to ensure continued operation of Council’s sites.
- Provide feedback on Service Levels and Maintenance Requirements.
About you:
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Drivers License (Class C) – NSW
- Proven experience in cleaning, knowledge of methods and procedures including high pressure cleaning
- Chemical Safety Awareness
Position details:
Permanent full-time role on a nine-day fortnight. Monday to Friday 4.00am to 1.00pm
W0044 Salary: Up to $65K + Superannuation + To and From Council Vehicle.
