Our OpportunityWork Location: Fortescue's Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Karrama and Pinikura peoples.Roster: 4D/3R - FIFO ex PerthThis role is responsible for providing engineering support to the OPF, plant down time data analysis, improvement projects, safety projects and defect elimination for Eliwana Ore Processing Facility (OPF), to enable sustained asset performance within the cost objectives.A commitment to all of FMG values is a prerequisite to becoming part of the FMG family
Key Responsibilities- Lead mechanical engineering team
- Liaison with relevant departments to provide technical solutions
- Stakeholder management and change management
- Monitor quality assurance of critical processes such as maintenance strategy compliance
- Audit delay accounting data to ensure delays and down time is captured correctly within the time usage model
- Propose improvement ideas and initiate and execute improvement projects
- Identify and champion safety initiatives and initiate and execute project to improve safety
- Carry out root cause analysis for plant down time and breakdown events as required
- Completing and managing reviews and tasks to improve the reliability of assets and/or improve safety.
- Become a stakeholder for capital projects and provide technical support as required
Qualifications and Experience- Tertiary Qualifications in Mechanical or Reliability Engineering or relevant industry experience as a technical officer
- A high level of planning and problem solving ability.
- +5 years of experience in fixed plant or heavy industry environment, site-based experience in an Engineering role preferred.
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder management skills
- Knowledge of EAM, CMMS software including basic knowledge of SAP operation
- Strong ability on computer-based programs such as MS office suite and Navisworks
- Planning, organisational, scheduling and coordination skills
