About the role:
We are looking for an engaging and motivated individual to support the Rates team in delivering quality services to stakeholders. This position is responsible for the efficient, accurate and effective processing, monitoring and administration of Council’s rates related activities, in line with Council policy and procedures whilst ensuring compliance with rating provisions of the Local Government Act.
Duties include:
- Process rates related activities, including but not limited to:
- Notices of sale,
- Waste management charges,
- Section 603 certificates,
- Direct debit applications & payment processing,
- Pensioner rebate processing & validation,
- Department of Housing payment files,
- Levy Supplementary rates & valuation changes,
- Cancellation of Levies,
- General rating tasks and enquiries,
- Debt recovery & Investigations.
- Reconciliation of the Rating System to the General Ledger, Valuer General and Waste Services.
About you:
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Degree in Business/Accounting or similar
- Driver’s License (Class C) – NSW
- Greater than 5 years of experience in rates
- Moderate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Salary will be based in qualifications, expertise, experience and knowledge
Salary: Starting from $80,000 per annum + Superannuation
