Holmesglen Private Hospital is seeking experienced Theatre Technician's to join our Perioperative Services Team with casual positions available.
About us
Holmesglen Private Hospital is a world class facility located in the South Eastern region of Melbourne. Close to public transport and with affordable onsite parking.
Holmesglen Private is a state of the art 147 bed hospital, comprising of a 24/7 Emergency Department, 6 bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 9 bed specialised Coronary Care Unit (CCU), 12 bay Day Infusion Unit and 5 specialised inpatient units. - including Oncology, Urology, ENT, Orthopaedics, Plastic Surgery, Interventional Cardiology and Rehabilitation Services
Theatre Technician responsibilities will include:
· Delivering excellent service and care to patients
· Liaise within a multi-disciplinary team
· Proven ability to work well within a team
· Ensuring patient and staff safety
· Sound knowledge of theatre equipment and safe use practices
· Proven troubleshooting skills
· Possess organisational skills and complete documentation to a high standard
· Will adhere to Healthscope and site policies and procedures, contribute to the efficient, effective and economic running of the peri operative service.
Essential Criteria:
· Previous experience as a Theatre Technician
· Working with Children check
· Commitment to Quality Patient Care
· Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
· Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
· Excellent communication and customer service skills
· Works well independently and within a team
· Must possess a Certificate III in Health Service Assistance (Operating Theatre Technical Support)
