Theatre Technician
Permanent Full time, part time or casual position!
About the role
In this role you will work as a member of the of the perioperative team by supporting theatre personnel to prepare the operating theatre environment for procedures, including the positioning of the patient, whilst respecting and ensuring patient safety and dignity is maintained at all times in accordance with hospital policies and procedures and legislative regulations
In this role you will report to the Perioperative Services Manager
About You
The successful candidate will be able to work with a high degree of autonomy and accountability and have a comprehensive knowledge of all surgical specialties offered in that hospital's operating suite
- Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Operating Theatre) or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years current clinical experience in an acute operating room setting in a Theatre Technician role.
- Ability to work a range of shifts, including day, evening and occasional weekends. On call shifts will be a requirement of the position
- A sound understanding of customer service and conflict resolution principles
