Are you passionate about your community? About the role We are seeking a dedicated Thrift Shop Manager for our Ulverstone Salvos Store!

You will lead the operations of the store ensuring quality customer service, cash handling and upkeep of the shop. Responsibilities include Create relaxed and engaging culture for the volunteer team, including organising provision of break room refreshments, celebrating staff birthdays etc Work with Corps Officer to seek additional ways to promote shop income Ensure stock is displayed in accordance with Thrift Shop guidelines and in-store signage is clear and professional Greet all customers in a warm and inviting manner Achieve at least 85% compliance on all safety audits, and take corrective action as necessary

This is a permanent full-time position, based in Ulverstone, TAS. Salary and conditions are in accordance with General Retail Award Level 6.

What you will have Demonstrated people management skills with an emphasis on volunteers and the community Experience in mentoring/training and managing staff Proven experience in retail management – ideally high-throughput Complete/Provide First Aid (PFA) training and be willing to be a designated First Aid Provider when on site Complete Fire Warden training and be willing to be the Chief Fire Warden while onsite Physical ability to safely stand, sit, walk regularly and for long periods of time, push, pull, lift, carry & restrain, climb ladders
