Our client operates a successful and growing family business which has been operating for over 25 years. They are known as South East Queensland’s prefabricated timber frame and truss specialist, now also offering a broad range of other building supplies and have their own fleet of Crane Trucks.
Based at their newly constructed purpose built factory in Bells Creek, there is now a fantastic opportunity for a Timber and Hardware Order Picker to join their team.
Job:
You will be assisting to make sure the daily yard operations run smoothly with the timely delivery of prefabricated Timber Frame and Trusses as well as other building hardware and materials to their valued clients. Duties will include Forklift Operation, Despatch, Picking, Packing and Loading of Timber and Building Supplies. If you love to be busy - this is an integral, varied role working for a highly successful operation.
The Ideal Candidate will have:
- Current Forklift Ticket
- Prior Knowledge of either Timber / Hardware / Building Supplies
- Previous Warehousing experience
- Good forklift skills
- Great team player attitude and work ethic
- High attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to multi task and problem solve
- Ability to show initiative
- Ability to follow direction
- White Card (desirable)

Hours for this position are 6am-2.30pm Monday to Friday but often employees are working overtime each day starting at 5am and finishing at 3.30pm. Depending on workload, they also try to have an early finish around lunchtime on Fridays to enjoy the weekend. If you are happy to do longer hours, early starts and be paid for the overtime accordingly this is the company for you and a great opportunity to earn more each week.
