Founded in 1972, Narangba Timbers is known as Brisbane’s favourite timber merchant. Located in Narangba on Brisbane’s Northside, we supply a large range of timber products for an even larger range of applications, including Decking, Flooring, Landscaping, Structural Support and Cladding.
Under new ownership over the last 5 years, Narangba Timbers has experienced consistent and steady growth and we have even bigger plans for exponential growth over the next few years. This is an exciting time to join our team!
Who are we seeking?
Based in our showroom, the successful applicant will be responsible for the following:
- Supporting all customer enquiries including providing quotes and processing a high volume of sales orders in our showroom
- Cross and upselling items to achieve KPI and financial targets
- Using your timber knowledge to provide recommendations for our customers on best practices
- Liaising with suppliers to order products
- Contacting customers to follow up on quotes - and converting quotes into sales through effective positive selling techniques
- Maintaining inventory levels in our showroom, to showcase our offerings
- Providing exceptional customer service experiences to all of our customers
- Identifying new trade opportunities through our “walk in” customers
- Effectively prioritising tasks and enquiries
- Accurately handling cash and eftpos settlements
To succeed in this role, you will possess the following:
- Demonstrated experience within the timber industry, with confidence to explain products to customers
- Enthusiastic and can-do attitude
- High attention to detail
- Passion for providing face-to-face customer service
- Ability to work Monday - Friday 6:30am - 2:30pm/ 3:00pm
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
- Ability to learn new systems (we use MYOB Advanced but this experience is not essential)
