The Whiteheads Timber Sales group operates a mid-sized softwood Saw Mill supplying timber into wholesale markets with four trade and retail outlets across SA and Victoria. Whiteheads has developed a strong presence in the local timber industry, built around a reputation for providing dependable and effective customer service levels and consistent quality products while maintaining a safe workplace.
We are currently recruiting Day Shift and Afternoon Shift General Mill Hands to join our team. If you have the right attitude and drive, we want to hear from you.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure safe work practices.
- Stacking Timber
- Strapping Timber
- Tallying packs
- Operating machinery
- Some data entry.
- General housekeeping tasks.
Key Attributes include:
- Positive work ethic, energetic and hard-working
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously or with a team as required
- Physically fit to perform manual handling duties
- Communication and people skills
- Bring a positive attitude.
