Job Description: NT Bitumen & Asphalt (NTBA) is a locally owned bituminous surfacing company operating in the private, government and defence sectors. It provides surfacing solutions to customers through the Northern Territory and interstate.
NT Bitumen & Asphalt are seeking a reliable and experienced Tipper Driver to join our Spray Sealing Crew. Attractive between $37.00p/hr - $45.00p/hr dependant on licence & experience. Meals & Accommodation provided whilst working away. The following attributes will be considered favourable.
Requirements:
- Valid unrestricted HR Licence, HC/MC preferred.
- Industry White Card
- Asphalt/Bitumen experience also an advantage.
- Proven experience as a Tipper/Spreader driver or similar role in the construction or transportation industry.
- Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems effectively.
- Local & Remote Works (Predominantly Remote).
Responsibilities:
- Operating Equipment: Driving and operating the spreader truck to aggregate according to job specifications.
- Maintenance Checks: Performing routine maintenance checks on the truck, such as inspecting brakes, oil levels, and ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
- Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols and regulations while operating the vehicle and during the loading/unloading process to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of personnel and property.
- Communication: Coordinating with supervisor to understand job requirements, timelines, and any special instructions.
- Teamwork: Working as part of a small team to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks.
