Our client based in Dandenong South, is a global supplier of products and Automated Solutions for the building industry. They empower their customers to revolutionise the way they design, make, and build. As part of their dynamic team, they are seeking a skilled and experienced Tooling and Stamping Press Supervisor to play a vital role in ensuring the effective and efficient operation of stamping presses and tooling within the production team.

Role Description:

As a Tooling and Stamping Press Supervisor, you will be a crucial member of the production team, overseeing the operation of stamping presses and tool maintenance to ensure optimal performance.

Essential Skills:

• Expert knowledge of tool maintenance and stamping press operation.
• Ability to work and manage a small team of around 7 people.
• Direct tradespeople effectively, ensuring tasks are carried out to a high standard.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and assist with tooling maintenance duties in the manufacturing plant.
• Ensure compliance with their Health and Safety guidelines, championing a safe working environment.
• Manage and maintain tooling spare parts stock levels and implement an organised system.
• Actively participate in and contribute to projects.
• Assist with project management, design, and implementation of press cell requirements.
• Maintain historical records of tool maintenance.
• Provide assistance to Die Setters when required, ensuring smooth equipment operation.
• Drive improvements in tooling reliability and efficiency.

Skills and Abilities:

• Education:  Trade certificate in Tooling/Machining or equivalent.
• Experience: Experience in a manufacturing environment with on-the-job training and experience with Supervising tradespeople.
