About the Role
We seek a dedicated Retail Sales Assistant with tool experience to join our team full-time. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will assist customers and drive sales in a busy retail environment. This role is perfect for individuals from the construction or trades sector looking to transition into retail.
Skills and Experience Required
- Essential retail sales experience, ideally in a hardware store or Tool Shop.
- Strong knowledge of tools used in construction, woodworking, automotive, or DIY projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, managing inquiries and transactions efficiently.
- Basic math skills and POS system proficiency for accurate sales processing.
- Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in finding tools and equipment.
- Provide product knowledge and recommendations based on customer needs.
- Use sales techniques to promote add-on items and upsell products.
- Process transactions accurately using the POS system.
