The Electrolux Adelaide Manufacturing Cooking Plant is a thriving and innovative example of modern advanced manufacturing in Australia. Encompassing fully automated sheet metal press lines, robot powder coating processes and automated gluing cells all leading to centralised assembly and packing. Consisting of a workforce of more than 400 employees, across three shifts and 50 robots all contributing to making approximately 1,500 ovens per day!
Your Role
As a Toolmaker you will be responsible for maintaining and maximising the manufacturing plant effectiveness by maintaining dies for press tools, cutting, and adjusting parts and testing tools to ensure quality standards are met. You will also get to make use of your outstanding mechanical and mathematical skills while maintaining tools and dies. This position is excellent for anyone with exceptional technical expertise and a positive, team-oriented attitude looking to work for a company where they can grow and hone their skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the plant tooling is maintained effectively and efficiently
- Carry out scheduled work in an effective and timely manner
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems and perform repairs
- Modify dies to conform to engineering changes
- Operate lathes, milling, surface grinders, rotary machines
- Sharpen die steels
- Replace components; die and gas springs and steels
- Welding repairs to harden steels
- Changeovers for part variations
- Maintain, repair, and replace worn or broken parts in press tools
- Comply to WHS, environmental, quality and energy regulations
- Attend emergency repairs including breakdowns
- Input of data using the Computerised Maintenance Management System
- Comply to WHS, environmental, quality and energy regulations
- Work within a team environment under minimal supervision
About you

Skills and Qualifications
- Be a trade qualified Toolmaker
- Experience in manufacturing environment [will be advantageous]
- Previous experience in press metal tooling and manufacture of jig fixtures
- Knowledge of press metal die maintenance [S/S and Enamel]
- Have good computing and communication skills
- Experience in TIG welding, machining, and fabrication
- Possess a license to perform high risk work [Forklift, EWP]
- Automation and robot experience advantageous however not essential

This is a fulltime permanent position be based in Dudley Park SA.
This position is Night Shift with 30% loading.
