We have an exciting opportunity available for a pro-active allrounder to join the TEG Dainty team as a Tour Accountant in Melbourne.

About the Role
Working within our TEG Dainty Finance team, the Tour Accountant will be tasked with preparing accounts for tours across Australia, NZ, and Asia.
As a Tour Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Partnering with the relevant Tour Manager to accurately report the financials of each tour on a timely basis.
- Partnering with the relevant Tour Manager to ensure consistent and timely communication with the Finance Manager and General Manager regarding significant issues that may impact the achievement of financial performance of a tour.
- Preparation of final tour reporting and settlement to internal and external stakeholders including back-up documents and variance analysis.
- Assist the Tour Manager and Finance Manager with the development and creation of budgets and offers for new tours.
- Assisting the Tour Manager to respond to ad hoc queries relating to tours financials.
- Tour financial management including internal reporting, invoicing, recording journals in the accounting system (i.e., internal charges and tour accruals), and cash reconciliations.
- Overseeing accounts payable transactions to ensure that all transactions are recorded in a timely and accurate manner. This includes oversight of credit card expenses processed by the respective cardholder via Concur and payments of withholding taxes to the relevant tax authorities.
- Proactively following up overdue accounts receivable and accurately allocate payments received.
- Ad hoc financial reconciliations and involvement in process such as Payroll and Royalty reconciliations.
About the Person
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous tour or project accounting experience.
- 3+ years in a finance role within a commercial organisation.
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel.
- Commercial acumen and ability to use that to prioritise various workload items.
- Confidence, attention to detail and outstanding communication skills.
- Proactive self-starter who has the ability to cope with pressure, tight deadlines and ambiguity.
- Previous experience with the software packages Technology One would be beneficial, but not essential.
