Track Protection Officer

We're currently on the lookout for experienced Track Protection professionals who are enthusiastic about securing short-term contract positions. As our dynamic company expands its operations, we're eagerly seeking highly skilled individuals to become integral members of our team.

Responsibilities:

• Follow established protocols for safe access to the rail corridor.
• Conduct thorough Track Protection assessments to identify potential hazards and risks.
• Enforce Track Protection rules to ensure the safety of personnel and equipment.
• Maintain vigilance over track conditions and incoming trains while performing lookout duties.
• Authorize work within designated areas by implementing track occupancy authority.
• Coordinate with railway authorities to guide rail traffic within designated work areas.
• Secure points and control track access as required.
• Utilize audible track warning devices to signal approaching trains and uphold safety standards.
• Implement absolute signal blocking procedures when necessary to ensure safety.

Qualifications:

• Valid Construction White Card.
• Current Safely Access Rail Corridor (SARC) card.
• Completion of the TLI21921 Certificate II in Track Protection.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A meticulous eye for detail and a strong commitment to safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
