The court process can be incredibly daunting for a witness, particularly for children and victims of sexual or domestic abuse and violent crimes. PACT educates, empowers, and supports victims and witnesses to crime as they prepare to give evidence, helping them understand the legal system and being by their side as they give their best evidence in court. PACT is recognised as one of the peak non-profit organisations working in the field of victim support.
Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role located in Brisbane CBD, QLD, with flexibility for some remote work. As an Intake / Admin Officer at PACT, you will play a crucial role in providing support to victims and witnesses as they engage with the court system. Your day-to-day tasks will involve managing the intake process, coordinating appointments, maintaining accurate records, and providing general administrative support to the team. Your empathetic and compassionate approach will help create a safe and supportive environment for vulnerable individuals.
Qualifications
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and build rapport with a diverse range of individuals
- Proficiency in MS Office and data management systems (experience with MS dynamics looked on favourably)
- Previous experience in a similar role or a background in social work or community services is desirable
- Understanding of the legal system and court processes is a plus
