Tractor Driver

Zerella Fresh is one of Australia’s largest grower and packers of Carrots, Onions and Potatoes supplying Australia’s leading supermarket chains plus independents and exports.

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated TRACTOR OPERATOR to join our team on a permanent full-time basis at our Parilla site in South Australia.

As a valuable member of our team, you will play a vital role in the success of our Potato, Carrot and Onion operation. If you are reliable, energetic and have a passion for farming we would love to hear from you.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work both independently and as part of a team. Reporting directly to the Farm Manager you will be working collectively as part of a team assisting in the farming operation.

Duties Include:

• Operate and maintain assorted tractor, harvester and associated equipment to effectively and efficiently harvest crops.
• Understanding the site’s commitment to the ongoing compliance to the Freshcare Food Safety and Quality standard.
• Operate varied equipment used in agricultural production.
• Maintain, repair, and complete maintenance on farm machinery, notifying the manager of any malfunctions.
• Routine inspection of crops to determine yield and suitability for harvest.
• Completed required reports and document of work completed.
• Undertake additional farm hand duties as required.
• Observe and comply with all health and safety policies and procedures.
• Report and identify hazards, incidents including near misses or injuries which arise in the course of work.
• Maintain a focus on results to included improved quality, reliability, safety and processing capability.

To be considered you must demonstrate the following:

• Full unrestricted Cass C driver's license.
• Agricultural experience highly desirable.
• Experience operating large machinery and / or farm harvest equipment.
• A willingness to be hands on and participate in a broad range of duties, a strong work ethic is essential.
• Mechanically minded with strong problem-solving skills.
• Respect for others and pride in team’s performance.
• Commitment to ongoing learning.
• Commitment to delivering team goals and the drive to be successful.
