Irrigation
As directed by the Farm Supervisor, undertake daily irrigation tasks associated with a drip irrigation system.
To monitor irrigation and fertigation in the vineyard under the guidance of the Vineyard Supervisor.
To assist in day-to-day maintenance of the irrigation system, including reporting all noticeable problems, such as irrigation leaks and poor water delivery.
Machinery Operation
Operate machinery in line with recommended guidelines.
Apply pesticides as directed by the Farm Supervisor or Farm Manager.
Ensure all machinery that is utilized is serviced regularly, in line with a daily maintenance schedule. Report major faults or defects to Farm Supervisor.
Ensure required records are completed and submitted in a timely manner.
Supervising contractors as directed by Farm Supervisor or Farm Manager.
Vine Maintenance
General vine care including both manual and mechanical pruning.
Undertake replanting, or supervision of replanting as directed by the Farm Supervisor or Farm Manager.
Skills required
- Tractor Operating experience
- Must have your own transport
- Irrigation experience desired
- Willing to do various tasks as required by the site
