A full-time opportunity currently exists in our Installation Team for a quality motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic team as a Solar Electrical Trade Assistant. In this exciting role, you'll have the unique opportunity to work alongside seasoned professionals, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of cutting-edge solar electrical systems. 

You will need to have experience in a similar role, construction or roofing.

Key duties will include:

• Assist with Installation: Aid electricians and technicians in the installation of solar panels, inverters, batteries, and associated electrical components.
• Site Preparation: Assist with site preparation activities, including organising materials, setting up equipment, and ensuring a safe work environment.
• Equipment Handling: Handle and transport equipment, tools, and materials safely and efficiently.
• Basic Electrical Work: Perform basic electrical tasks under the guidance of qualified personnel, such as wiring, conduit installation, and connecting solar components.
• Quality Assurance: Assist in quality checks to ensure that installations meet industry standards and company guidelines.
• Troubleshooting: Assist in troubleshooting electrical issues and identifying solutions to ensure optimal system performance.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including installation diagrams, equipment serial numbers, and inspection reports.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to minimise the risk of accidents and injuries.
• Customer Interaction: Interact with customers professionally and courteously, addressing any questions or concerns they may have during installations or service calls.
• Other task as required and as the role develops
• Adhoc tasks as required.

Successful applicant will have:

• 4 - 5 years experience working in a similar role, construction or roofing as a Trade Assistant
• An ability to prioritise and manage expectations.
• A keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work at heights and perform tasks in various weather conditions.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Punctuality, dependability and a strong work ethic are essential qualities for success in this role.
• Willingness to always follow safety procedures and protocols.
• The ability to communicate articulately and efficiently with other people within the company.
• Must be capable of performing tasks as required.
