Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in mechanical, assembly, and fabrication tasks under the guidance of senior staff.
- Operate forklifts and other machinery safely (subject to holding the appropriate licenses).
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace in compliance with company and industry safety standards.
- Participate in safety briefings and adhere to all workplace safety guidelines and procedures.
- Complete tasks efficiently to the highest quality standards, contributing to the team's success.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Trade Assistant in heavy industrial environments.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in assembly or fabrication highly regarded.
- Current forklift licence highly regarded.
- Ability to work up to 16 hours of overtime per week, as required.
- Strong commitment to safety, with the ability to follow complex instructions and safety protocols.
Safety Requirements:
- Must wear PPE at all times as per site requirements (safety boots, hard hats, etc.).
- Participate in regular safety training and adhere to all safety guidelines and legislation.
- Experience with risk assessment and hazard identification preferred.
- First Aid certification is considered an advantage.
