We are a large Australian based multifaceted and diverse company. Privately owned, Parkside is now a leading player in saw milling, timber manufacturing, retail and wholesale timber and hardware, land and property development, home construction and retirement industries.
We are looking for happy and energetic full time Trade Counter professional to join our Townsville based operation. We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in fulltime, ongoing, permanent work. Knowledge and previous experience in the timber or building industry would be good but we are happy to train you.
Some of the things you might do will include:
- Customer service on our Trade Counter
- Picking and packing customer orders
- Ute deliveries to customers as required
- Assisting customers in the trade centre or in the yard
- Keeping Trade Counter well maintained.
- Customer orders and quotes.
To do this you are going to need to be:
- Physically fit with the ability to safely lift loads and handle goods
- Able to work in a fast paced workplace, and you will have to do it without making mistakes
- Self-motivated, in other words we don’t want to have to kick you in the butt to get you started each day
- Able to take directions. If you like to argue about everything, go see the guys down the road
- Able to get (or have) a general safety induction (Work safely in construction industry - White card)
- Work safely and follow site rules – just like you have to do everywhere else.
If you have a current forklift licence (LF) and manual driver's licence that would be great. If you haven’t got them but are willing to apply for them that will be okay too.
