HBI Australia is a progressive and professional insurance building company based in Northern NSW with offices in Byron Bay, Coffs Harbour, and Newcastle, as well as satellite operations across the East Coast of NSW and South East Queensland. Due to an internal promotion, additional resources are required immediately.
We are currently seeking a Trade Qualified Carpenter focusing on insurance repairs in the Coffs Harbour region. The successful candidate would have a trade background with strong construction experience.
You will be reporting directly to our Construction Project Manager.
Duties of the position include, but are not limited to:
- All aspects of carpentry on domestic dwellings
- Conducting site measures and pre repair checks
- Providing excellent customer service and relationship building to our customers, insurance partners, Loss Adjusters and Assessors, also liaising with contractors and suppliers.
- Maintaining WH&S procedures on work sites.
- Completing quality control audits on projects.
Skills and personal attributes required:
- Good technical building knowledge including Building Codes and Standards
- Trade qualified
- WHS construction white card
- Excellent communication and customer service skills to our customers, insurance partners and liaising with contractors and suppliers.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
- Self-motivated, reliable, and trustworthy with a strong work ethic
- Team player who can also work autonomously
