Trade Qualified Painter

Steel Group Australia is seeking an Experienced Painter to join our team full time in a full time position.The ideal candidate will have minimum 2 years work experience with Painting Structural Steel and Tank Refurbishments. Hold a valid C class license and be a Trade Qualified Painter.This job involves working in a heavy industry environment and you will be asked to work in wide variety of spaces, including in confined spaces and high up on scaffolding.Tasks will include:

• Spray Painting, protective coatings to the required specification
• Surface preparation, including colours and colour mixing
• Conversant in the handling, mixing and application of various coating systems
• Working in a team or unsupervised when required
• Erecting and removing scaffolding
• Ensuring proper use and maintenance of company machinery and reports any error, misuse or damage to the equipment
• Cleaning equipment and work areas
• Observe Company's OHS Procedures & Policy
• Ability to pass a per-employment drug & alcohol screen
