The Role
Ventia are seeking to engage a Trade Assistant to support our team on our Defence contract. This role will see you effectively maintain, repair, replace and ensure the integrity and performance of equipment and facilities. This is a full-time permanent position, and you will be located at Campbell Barracks in Swanbourne, Bindoon Training Facilities, and other locations when required.
You will be working 8-hour days (38-hours per week) with 1x RDO (Rostered Day Off) per month. A company car (Tool of Trade vehicle) will also be provided for travel to and from the base each day.
The payrate for this position is $32.45 per hour.
To be considered for this position, you must be an Australian Citizen and willing to undergo a police check.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
Helping trades personnel with all types of work in the field as required
Being a standby person for High Risk permitted works
Escorting visitors around the base as required
Be the first point of contact/direction for visitors and contractors entering the office
Sentry Duties
Plant and Equipment inspection
Defence Range Repairs and Maintenance
Requirements:
WA Driver’s License – HR License highly regarded
Forklift License
EWP Ticket
Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical with a drug & alcohol screen
