Trades Assistant

Are you passionate about hands-on work and have a knack for mechanical tasks? Our client - a giant in the world of 4WD and Truck parts - is seeking a Trade Assistant with mechanical knowledge and skills including oxy torch operation, grinding, buffing, balancing, and painting. If you have experience in these areas, that's great! The role is a casual start but possibility of permanent for the right person.

• Monday to Friday - 37.5 hrs per week - 8am to 4pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist tradespeople with mechanical tasks, including using oxy torches for cutting and welding.
• Perform grinding, buffing, and balancing tasks to support production processes.
• Conduct painting tasks to finish products to high standards.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Basic mechanical skills, particularly in oxy torch operation, grinding, buffing, balancing, and painting.
• Ability to learn and adjust quickly
• Strong attention to detail and high-quality work
• Physical fitness and stamina to handle manual tasks.
• Lathe experience (desirable not essential).
• LF (Licence to Operate Forklift) is desirable but not essential.
