Belt Technician - Trades Assistant.
Work Location:
Fortescue's Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.
Roster:
14D7R or 14D14R - FIFO ex Perth, Busselton or Karratha.
The Belt TechnicianTrades Assistant role reports directly to the OPF Maintenance Services Supervisor and will be responsible for assisting with repairing, maintaining and improving Conveyor systems and equipment to safely deliver world class availability and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting Belt Technicians in day to day activities.
- Assisting Belt Technicians with steel cord & fabric conveyor belt splicing and repairs.
- Assist with conveyor system maintenance including roller changes, roller frame change out & repairs, skirt replacement & repairs, installation of tracking devices.
- Assist with shut down activities.
- Ability to work with others to achieve objectives.
- Current drivers license desirable
- Good verbal and written skills.
- Problem solving and analytical skills.
- Self motivated.
- Willingness to learn and contribute to the team.
