With continued strong business growth TUFF Australia is looking for a passionate Trades Assistantwho can weld or would like to learn to weld, to work in at our head office based in Toowoomba, QLD.
As a TUFF Trades Assistant, you can apply your excellent work ethic and skills to contribute to the manufacture of market leading premium products. The ideal candidate will be very reliable, highly motivated with strong communication skills, mechanically minded and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Your Duties Will Include:
- Perform related tasks, such as basic welding, grinding, etc.
- General cleaning of factory floors, TUFF properties to ensure a safe work environment.
- Assist other team members to complete scheduled workloads in a timely manner.
- Machine set up and operation.
- Assembly of fabricated components.
The Role Requirements:
- Demonstrated exposure to and an understanding of production processes;
- Attention to detail with high quality standards;
- Demonstrated experience in the understanding of the need for quality and timeliness in service to ensure the organisation meets the expectations of our customers.
- Experience in fitting accessories to vehicles orexperience in manufacturing or related field.
- Experience and knowledge in the use of various hand and power tools.
- Basic experience in metal fabrication/welding.
- Experience with Machine Operating/Assembly Work.
- Working closely with trade qualified fabricators or boilermakers.
- Work with steel and alloy.
- Forklift licence would be an advantage.
- Great attitude and work ethic.
You will work under pressure by focusing on the right priorities to meet your scheduled timelines. Ideally, the successful candidate will be very passionate, self-motivated, enthusiastic professional who enjoys a diverse working environment.
