Role Summary
We are seeking a Maintenance Officer at Guildford Village, where you will provide high-quality maintenance and gardening services for our facility, hostel, and surrounding grounds. By ensuring our facility is well-maintained, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of our residents and creating a comfortable, homely environment for them!
Responsibilities and Duties
- Efficiently procure maintenance services and equipment
- Ensure regulatory compliance through emergency, preventative, and legislative maintenance
- Expertise in gas, water, and power systems, including isolation
- Coordinate contractors for safe repairs
- Create a safe, clean environment promoting person-centered care
- Commit to continuous improvement in maintenance
- Oversee onsite garden and landscape maintenance
- Previous facilities maintenance experience preferred
Skills, Attributes and Experience
Our ideal candidate has significant maintenance/gardening experience and who feels comfortable and familiar with performing these types of duties. You will have comprehensive understanding of facility services/equipment relating to gas, water and power. Most important will be your preparedness to go above and beyond to best assist the facility and your ability to impress the residents with your end product and customer service skills.
- Previous experience working within a health/aged care organisation is desirable but not essential
- Trade qualifications in a relevant field are desirable but not essential
