Job Overview
You will be the leading hand in a two person crew testing Water Mains and commissioning hydrant systems. This involves measuring how the pressure in the main drops when water is drawn from hydrant standpipes. Hydrant commissioning involves conducting a fire truck boost test, hydrostatic pressure test and certification checks. This is one of the final steps to allow the building to be occupied by the public. The field work is reasonably physical in the summer months. This is a great opportunity to learn the standards and to be the first user to troubleshoot and make practical improvements to our hydrant certification software that we are developing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct field tests on Water Mains and hydrant systems including flow and pressure measurements.
- Assist in the commissioning process performing fire truck boost tests, hydrostatic pressure tests, hydrant flow tests, and certification checks.
- Field test our inhouse hydrant certification software, providing valuable feedback for continuous improvement.
About You:

- Physical fitness and willingness to work in various field conditions.
- Positive attitude and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to overcome challenges independently.
- Exceptional customer service skills to interact effectively with clients
- Valid manual car license for travel to different sites across Brisbane.
- Essential to have White Card and Blue Card or ability to obtain.
