The Tradesperson provides expertise, guidance and strategic input into the maintenance of Departmental buildings, critical services, plant and equipment. The role also oversees maintenance contractors to ensure agreed outcomes are met and undertakes maintenance tasks when required.

About the role
As our new Tradesperson at the Wagga Wagga Agricultural Institute, you will be required to:
- Assist with the maintenance of buildings, plant and equipment to support Departmental operations and undertake maintenance tasks when required.
- Communicate with maintenance contractors to ensure agreed outcomes are met.
- Input and respond to work orders in the Departments maintenance software programme MEX.
- Respond to breakdowns of key equipment on site to minimize disruption to research service delivery.
- Building trade qualifications (e.g., Electrical or Electrical Mechanical).
- Current NSW Driver Licence and the ability and willingness to travel.
- Current NSW Forklift Operator's Licence (or the ability to gain).
