Tradespersons - Fitters/Machinists/Boilermakers

Our client, in operation for just under 10 years and with over 50 staff, has a winning reputation as one of the best service companies of its kind. 

Servicing industries including Mining, Civil, Marine, Rail, Tunnelling and Drilling, no 2 days will be the same for you. 

The company works predominantly in Hydraulics and is known for its efficiency in turnaround times and attention to detail.

Your work will include hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, cylinders and drill rigs. The company also manufactures and holds drill head parts. 

Due to recent growth they now seek the following Tradespersons to join their workshop team in Newcastle with the following attributes;

Mechanical Fitters:

• Experience with hydraulic cylinders - essential
• Experience with hydraulic pump motor valves
• Experience with stripping, inspecting and fault finding
• The ability to read and interpret specifications, technical drawings and schematics
• Experience in maintaining adequate documentation and service records
• Experience directing and mentoring trades assistants and apprentices
• Understanding and experience in working to client deadlines

Machinists (Manual and CNC)

• Experience with Okuma, Fanuc and Heidenhein or a combination of 2 or 3. 
• Experience on lathes and mills - both desirable
• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Making sketches or manufacturing parts to drawings
• Hydraulics experience and knowledge
• Experience directing and mentoring trades assistants and apprentices

Boilermakers:

• Strong experience in fabricating parts to drawings
• Experience in marking out and welding including positional welding
• Experience in a hydraulics environment - highly regarded
• Experience testing finished structures
• Experience directing and mentoring trades assistants and apprentices

Standard hours of work are 6am-2:30pm with overtime readily available including Saturday work. Permanent rates of pay range from $38/hour to $50/hour depending on your skills and experience.
