About the role:
We are currently working on multiple major projects, new and existing, throughout Melbourne's South-eastern suburbs. We are looking for reliable and self motivated Traffic Controllers to join our team and grow with our business. With a strong pipeline of work, now is the time to jump onboard and be rewarded with consistent shifts, progression opportunities and to be the benchmark in the industry.
Duties:
Perform all tasks associated with traffic management for works or events
- Use of Stop/Slow Bat to control traffic
- Implement and monitor operational Ttaffic management plans
- Complete vehicle pre-start checks
- Load and unload vehicles with signage and equipment
- Complete site hazard assessments and implement control measures to suit the site
- Report on site hazards and near misses
- Monitor traffic behaviour and or flow to ensure safety is maintained at all times
- Obey instructions from team leaders, foremen, or inspectors and auditors
- Control traffic, pedestrians and cyclists to protect maintenance workers, work crews and members of the public
Skills & Experience:
- Victorian Traffic Control Accreditation (stop/slow bat & Implement traffic management plans) - essential
- OHS Card - essential
- Driver licence and own car to get to work - essential
- Availability to work days, nights and weekends
- People who can work individually and in teams
- Safety focused people with excellent communication skills
