In this role, you'll:
You’ll be responsible for conducting routine network investigations and technical assessments and making recommendations for improvements. You will assist in conducting traffic and road safety assessments, speed zone reviews, sign posting and delineation reviews.
The Traffic Engineering Officer is responsible for:
- Providing network management advice, based on sound knowledge of guidelines and procedures, to assist in effective resolution of issues and good project outcomes.
- Undertaking appropriate investigations, audits and technical assessments, and recording accurate site information to make recommendations for improvements on the road network.
- Implementing appropriate network management procedures to ensure the quality of activities, outcomes, and records.
You must have the ability to problem solve and have effective communication, negotiation skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
It will be highly beneficial to have tertiary qualifications in civil or Traffic engineering or a related discipline. The role would ideally suit a graduate, or, a candidate that has experience working at councils (training will be provided).
You will require the ability to execute the management and development of projects and plans, be able to prioritise and organise work while delivering on tight deadlines, have strong attention to detail, be customer focused and demonstrate drive and commitment.
