Job description

GAME was established in 1993 by parent entity Worktrainers and the traffic management & Hire division of GAME was established in March 2008.  Since that time GAME has experience continuous growth across all regions and has earned a reputation, for reliability and safe working practices with our customers.

GAME is certified to National OH&S (AS4801 – Includes New Zealand) & International Quality Management standards (ISO 9001:2015).   Accredited with Vic Roads and holding , G Classification with the Roads & Transport Authority in NSW, GAME are providing Traffic Management services on all roads across regional Victoria and Southern NSW.

GAME currently has 170+ qualified traffic controllers, over 100 registered vehicles and 120 pieces of traffic management equipment and approximately 11km of Temp Fencing on hire.

As a Social Enterprise the surpluses generated by GAME and other business units owned by Worktrainers fully fund the youth employment program Geared4Careers.  This program  operating across regional Victoria, in areas serviced GAME, is currently working with over 1700 youth to remain engaged in secondary school and transition into employment or tertiary studies.

THE ROLE

Permanent Position – Full Time 

Based in Wangaratta

Our people are the most important part of our business and we are looking for the right person to join our Scheduling and Planning team completing a range of tasks associated with the daily operations of GAME’s Traffic and Hire division. Based in our Wangaratta office, this role reports to our Operations Manager based in our North East Region and will work closely with other Scheduling and Planning staff based in our Shepparton Head Office.

As an integral part of the organisations Scheduling and Planning functions this position will be:

  • Assisting with inbound potential and existing customer enquiries.
  • Processing existing customer bookings via phone and email.
  • Ensuring all information regarding customers and their work requests are entered into scheduling program accurately.
  • Assisting with other Scheduling and Planning tasks as required 
  • Joining the “On-Call” roster, following completion of relevant training

Our schedulers work closely with Operation/Regional Managers and Supervisors to ensure:

  • Resource allocation of staff, vehicles and equipment is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Appropriate permits and booking documents are available for staff to access as required.
  • Operational staff are adequately informed of work requirements
  • All staff allocated to works are appropriately qualified and inducted to complete requested works as per customer compliance requirements.

Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous however extensive on the job training will be provided to our successful candidate to ensure they reach their full potential in this role.
