Could you be the Train Maintainer - Electrical in Adelaide we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your maintenance expertise in a new cutting-edge field in our Services business. You’ll report to the Maintenance Manager and will work alongside ambitious, driven and team-spirited teammates on the Adelaide Metropolitan Passenger Railway Network vehicles at the Dry Creek Rail Car Depot or Seaford Testing & Commissioning Depot. Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for scheduled and unscheduled corrective and preventative maintenance work with the aim of ensuring the fleet is running safely, efficiently and conforming to relevant industry standards.
We’ll look to you for:

  • Checking the operation and assessing the condition of equipment
  • Fault finding electrical/mechanical systems and correcting faults
  • Completing inspection reports, updating computer history files
  • Driving, fueling or piloting passenger railcars within the depot
  • Conducting performance tests (audio, visual and load testing) and assisting with emergency recovery of vehicles, in-service fault-finding and fixing
  • Supervision and training of apprentices and Train Support employees
  • Making recommendations to site management on methods and procedures with a view to more efficient operation of the facility
All about you
We are seeking a motivated and proactive individual who is passionate about problem solving. You will also have
  • A trade qualification (Mech, Elec, Coachbuilder etc.)
  • South Australian driving license
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Crane, Dogman, Forklift – High risk license
  • A team player, forward thinker and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be willing to work a 22/7 roster with reasonable expectation for relief shifts and overtime shifts
