An excellent opportunity to start your accounts career. We are looking for an accounts focused person to join our team as a Trainee Accountant.
Position Overview:
- The role offers opportunities for progression within the company.
- Primary responsibilities include deal processing. Ensure paperwork for each deal is correctly costed and completed
- Reconcile gross profit and record costing variance
- Calculate sales consultant’s commissions monthly
- Daily tasks include processing manufacturer invoices, stock swaps.
- Assist with month-end processing and reconciling general ledger accounts.
- General Admin Duties
- The role requires being a team player and assisting as needed.
- Willingness to take on tasks designated by the Financial Controller.
Essential Skills:
- Strong interest in advancing in an accounting career.
- Good knowledge and understanding of accounts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving ability.
- Proactive approach and the ability to present solutions to issues.
- Proficiency in Excel and MS Office.
Desirable Skills:
- Currently undertaking or having completed formal accounting studies (TAFE, University).
- A focus on continuous improvement and streamlining processes where needed.
- Keeping open lines of communication with the Financial Controller.
