Felix Botanica Pty Ltd is a well-established and highly regarded Environmental Management and Consultancy group (Melbourne) which services a wide range of clientele including Local and State Government instrumentalities, developers and private land holders since 2001.
With internal staff movements, secure contracts and recent expansion, we are looking for a full-time trainee to join our dedicated, passionate teams.

- Willingness to undertake formal training (e.g. Cert III-IV in Conservation and Land Management)
Mandatory Requirements:
- Construction Induction Card
- Current Car Licence
Desirable Licences & Training:
- Cert III Conservation and Land management
- Chainsaw: Operate and Maintain Chainsaws - Level 1 and 2
- First Aid (Level 2)
Duties:
Undertaking safety checks and maintenance of equipment and participating in morning toolbox meeting.
Following best practice bush regeneration, identifying priority weeds within work sites and using recommended treatment of weeds.
Undertake bush regeneration practices and methods.
Carrying out chemical applications through backpack spraying or through neat application as permitted by manufacture labels.
Undertake hand weeding and other manual and mechanical weed control. Brush cutting, hedger and chainsaw operations
Identify native plants and protect them with best practices methods of bush regeneration.
Undertake tree planting actives include mulching, planting, watering and tree guarding.
Rubbish collection include flyable litter and hard rubbish
Areas of work activities will be in dense vegetation, steep slopes, creek lines and around bodies of water.
Regular housekeeping duties will include disposing waste collected during the day, maintenance and storing of equipment and cleaning of vehicles.
Participate in the development and delivery of safe work environment to ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and other relevant laws and regulations.
This is a physically demanding position and requires a high regard for the natural environment. Works are based in metropolitan Melbourne. While experience and skills in the natural resource management field are ideal a strong work ethic and passion for what you do is essential.
Salary packaging is above award and inclusive of core company training requirements (First Aid/ACUP/Construction Industry Whitecard etc), extracurricular professional development fund and PPE fund to full time staff.
