ABOUT THE ROLE:

To support growth in our business and the ongoing popularity of the Toyota brand, we are looking to employ a Fleet Sales Trainee to work with and learn from our knowledgeable, experienced dealership sales team who are passionate about providing our customers with outstanding service and value on every dealership visit.  

We specialise in all aspects of fleet vehicle requirements including advice on vehicle suitability, financing, insurance, leasing and servicing. Whether dealing with small business owners or a multinational corporations, we provide the best possible options, backed up by personalised service for our valued fleet customers.

Duties will include:

  • Learn the large range of small, passenger, sport and SUV’s to confidently promote and advise to suit every fleet customer’s needs
  • Understand customer needs, prospecting new customers, attending to customer queries, and complete follow-up and lead generation
  • Learn about specialised fleet programs, factory warranties and support, leading manufacturer technology and state of the art vehicle safety
  • Develop exceptional sales, relationship management and negotiation skills
  • Build competitive tender pricing skills for small to medium, corporate, community and Government fleet customers
  • Manage and maintain customer database and company portals and the administration of deals

This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to launch their career in vehicle sales and with it, complete a nationally recognised Certificate III or IV in Business Sales qualification.

We recruit for attitude as well as aptitude. If you have the enthusiasm with a strong customer service focus, and an interest in sales and/or automotive, we're prepare to invest in and teach you the skills required for the role.

Perhaps you have transferable skills gained from industries like retail, hospitality, real estate, or insurance. Maybe you're already in the workforce and looking for a new challenge or a school leaver looking to launch your career!

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Be curious with a commitment to lifelong learning
  • High level of personal presentation
  • Have excellent communication skills and enjoy engaging with people
  • Have a well developed mathematical ability and understanding of figures
  • Be professional, reliable, and committed to delivering exceptional customer service
  • Be able to follow instructions, including internal sales processes
  • Have well developed I.T. skills and a strong attention to detail
  • Have a positive attitude, be well organised and able to use your initiative
  • Be willing to undertake and successfully complete the relevant qualification to accompany your on the job training (an eagerness to learn!)
  • Have a current Tasmanian Driver's Licence (preferably manual)
