The Job
Fumigation Technicians conduct biosecurity treatments of cargo onboard vessels, at port terminals and on-shore storage facilities. Treatments can take place at all hours of the day and night, 7 days a week. Sometimes the work requires transport by helicopter or launch-boat, and a Marine Security clearance is required.
Once initial training has been completed (within 6 months) the Trainee will progress to Fumigation Technician with commensurate salary increase.
Full drug and alcohol screening will be conducted as a part of the selection process.
