We are seeking a Trainee Portables Fire Technician with the right attitude & willingness to learn to join our expanding Fire service & maintenance business in Queensland, by providing exceptional technical service and attention to detail.

The Role
The role requires someone who can self-motivate, work both solo and as part of a team, and has a passion for attention to detail to join our Portables Division. You will be working alongside our experienced technicians and gaining on the job training. As our Trainee Portables Fire Technician you will be supporting and learning from our experienced technicians to inspect and test portable fire equipment according to Australian Standards 1851:2012 and diagnose and carry out repairs and replacements.

Key responsibilities
- Servicing portable fire equipment and smoke alarms on our customer premises
- Identifying defects and recommendations in line with specific Australian Standards
- Promoting the Company at all times
- Identifying, repairing & installing portable fire equipment including evacuation diagrams
- Completing paperwork in line with best practice and Australian Standards
- Work within best practice standards
Key requirements
- Willingness to undertake a Certificate II in Fire Protection and Testing
- White Card or willingness to obtain
- Own Transport to the office
- Willingness to undertake Police Check
- Ability to obtain a blue card
- A current Drivers Licence (manual)
- Willingness to keep up to date vaccinations (including COVID19 and the flu shot)
