Our Opportunity
Nepean CONVEYORS Mackay has an excellent opportunity for a Trainee Store Person to join the team on a Monday-Friday basis at our Mackay Site (Slade Point). No experience necessary, full training and guidance provided. At the end of this Traineeship, you will have obtained a Certificate in Warehousing and a Forklift Ticket, this Traineeship is 24 months long. This is a Trainee position with a standard 38-hour week. This is an opportunity to join a multinational leader in the Longwall industry and work with a team that is driven, passionate and determined to make a difference. The role will require the following:
Your responsibilities in this role will include:
- Purchase Order Functions (i.e., PO receipting, raising PO’s, reorder inventory, etc.).
- Monitor deliveries to ensure supplies are received in accordance with conditions specified on purchase orders.
- Verify that received products/services are in strict accordance with Nepean Longwall purchase order and advise accounts accordingly.
- Creating and receiving shipments.
- General Warehousing and Store duties
- Packing and unpacking orders
- Receipting
- Forklift Operation
The Right Person
- Completed HSC (Year 12) OR equivalent tertiary training/ qualifications.
- Strong experience using MS Office. Specifically using Outlook, Excel and Word
- The ability to demonstrate a strong safety focus.
- Valid Australian Driver’s License
- Team player attitude with the ability to handle complexities within the role.
- Solid communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of initiative and determination to achieve goals and targets.
- Ability to work autonomously in a busy environment.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, Understands the need to priorities when required.
- Able to multitask and stay composed simultaneously.
- Understands the need for continuous improvement in the business and support colleagues through periods of change in the workplace.
- Team player persona, with the ability to work independently.
