About the role
We are looking for an Trainee Electrical Field Tester to join us in a four-year program that will enable you to obtain industry skills and knowledge while under the supervision of qualified and experienced Commissioning experts. Zinfra Trainees will undergo a dynamic learning experience that blends online training modules with hands-on workplace and worksite rotations.
Throughout the program, you will work towards attaining an Advanced Diploma of ESI – Power Systems, laying the groundwork for a successful career in the electricity supply industry. Trainee’s will experience a variety of work environments within the electricity supply industry to gain enhanced employment skills and career development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities include
You will be given the chance to participate in a variety of field activities which will include:
Assist in the pre-commissioning and commissioning of power system primary plant and secondary systems.
Supporting in construction, maintenance, fault finding of Power Industry Networks and Substation protection and control schemes
Operating and utilizing various plant, equipment, and tools essential for maintenance and commissioning work.
Interpret protection schedules, drawings and schematics
Fulfilling general duties at job sites, including administration and traffic control (following appropriate training).
Upon successful completion of the program, you will have attained all competencies required for an Advanced Diploma of ESI – Power Systems, setting the stage for a promising career trajectory in the electricity supply industry.
About You
To be considered for a Traineeship you must have:
Completed Year 11 or be completing Year 11 in 2024
Possess a drivers licence or plan to have obtained your licence by February 2024.
A pre-apprenticeship qualification and completion of VCE maths and physics will benefit your application but is not essential.
