AddressAn opportunity exists with Council for a motivated and suitably experienced person to work as a member of a dedicated team at the Mount Gambier and District Saleyards.
We are looking for a part time person to undertake general maintenance of the saleyard facility including repairs and maintenance of the cattle and sheep yard infrastructure and equipment, tend to stock, operate plant and equipment, attend cleaning and hosing of yards, together with operational requirements such as clerical duties.
To be successful, you will be an efficient and effective team member with excellent communication skills. Experience in livestock handling and welfare, skills in welding and steel fabrication, good problem solving/ conceptual ability, together with basic computer knowledge and ability to input data would be an advantage. Some flexibility will be required for participation in a livestock droving roster for store sales, out of hours and weekend work.
